We are Frater

Frater is an auditing and consulting firm incorporated in December 2016 in Lima-Peru and initially focused on corporate legal and tax advice but, due to its clients' demand and the generation of new opportunities, it has expanded its service offering to include diverse business solutions such as transfer pricing, financial auditing and consulting, labor auditing, organizational management, among other solutions.

During this time Frater has served national companies and transnational corporations from diverse industries such as Telecom Media and Technology (TMT), mining, financial, insurance, plastic, food, agribusiness, transportation, construction, services, health, gastronomy, among others.

Benjamín Gutiérrez

Managing Partner

If you need a solid and pragmatic legal solution, contact Benjamín. He is an expert tax and corporate lawyer with more than 18 years of experience advising national and multinational companies in various industries such as telecom, tech, media, real estate, mining, food, education, and services in general.

He also has experience in the execution of investment projects and corporate reorganization operations, as well as in international taxation and tax litigation in administrative and judicial proceedings.

He has previous experience as an associate at KPMG and a tax auditor at Deloitte, as well as at the Telefónica Group. He holds a Master's Degree in Tax Advisory Services from IE Law School and a specialization in International Taxation from Austral University. He is a lawyer by the UPC. He is also a lecturer and university professor.

Augusto Benjamín Gutiérrez

Dispute Resolution Partner

Augusto Benjamín has an academic and professional career of more than 40 years advising companies and sponsoring important cases in the judicial instance, both in civil, commercial, and administrative matters.

He has a law degree from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and a Master's Degree in Civil and Commercial Law. He has been a Magistrate of the Judiciary. He is Arbitrator of several Arbitration Courts and university professor.

Iván Mannucci

Tax & Legal Partner

Iván is a lawyer who graduated from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas - UPC, with an "Outstanding" degree. Specialist in Tax Law with more than 18 years of professional experience in the market, specializing in the analysis, search, structuring and obtaining of tax solutions and efficiencies. He has vast experience in corporate, financial and real estate transactions and structures, such as -but not limited to- Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), financings (direct, intra-group, public and private corporate bond issues), off-balance sheet financings (securitization trusts), credit portfolio transfers, factoring, discounting, confirming, tax structuring of FIRBIS, FIBRAS (he has participated in the tax structuring of the first Peruvian Securitization Trust for Real Estate Rental Investment) and Investment Funds aimed at institutional and retail investors, as well as the design of tax planning within the framework of the option economy.

He has been a senior associate at Picón & Asociados and Berninzon & Benavides, Senior of the "Business Tax Advisory" area at EY Peru, as well as leader of the tax areas of Lazo & De Romaña Asociados and DS Casahierro.

César Adriazola

Audit & Accounting Solutions Partner

César is a recognized auditor and financial consultant in the Peruvian market for the high value he transmits to the companies he serves through the application of his knowledge and experience in the field of auditing, IFRS and accounting advice in general. César has particular experience in national and transnational companies in various sectors such as industrial, mining, financial, telecommunications and services in general. 

He has previous experience as a Consulting Manager at KPMG and other independent firms. He holds an MBA from ESADE (Spain), having graduated as an accountant from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. He also holds a diploma in Finance from ESAN and a diploma in IFRS from Universidad del Pacifico. He is a recognized lecturer in several schools, universities and Accountants Colleges.

Luciana Guerra

Legal Director

Luciana has a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and a Master's Degree in Labor Law and Labor Relations from the University of Salamanca. She has a Master's Degree in Human Resources Management and Development from the University of Seville and is certified in the Basic Course for Auditors in the SA8000 Standard. 

She focuses her experience on the identification and evaluation of labor risks. She has provided advice on hiring, compensation, modification of working conditions, disciplinary management, and sexual harassment, among others. She is an expert in consulting related to the management of outsourcing contracts. Likewise, she has experience in the public and private sectors, she has been an Advisor to the Vice-Ministerial Office of Labor of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion, Project Manager of the Human Resources Department of Telefónica del Perú S.A.A., Legal Specialist in the Superintendence of Labor Inspection and lawyer in the NGO Programa Laboral de Desarrollo.

Jorge Durán

Organizational Management Director

Jorge is an industrial engineer specialized in industrial and business processes in general. He has extensive experience in organizational restructuring, supervision and monitoring of compliance with goals, logistics processes, purchasing and warehousing, as well as in the study, design and improvement of processes for quality and continuous improvement and implementation of ISO.

He is an engineer from the National University of Engineering (UNI) and Master's in Project Management from the Technological University of Peru (UTP), as well as the founder of 3e-Government.

Angela Gutiérrez

Public Procurement Director

Angela has a law degree from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) and an MBA from the same university. She has more than 15 years of experience practicing law. She is a specialist in government contracts, and administrative law, as well as in management and public policies.

He is currently the Manager of Regulations and Administrative Affairs of the Social Health Insurance - EsSalud. In the MEF, she has held the positions of Director of Regulations of the General Directorate of Multiannual Investment Programming (Invierte.pe) and Executive in Territorial Budget in the General Directorate of Public Budget. Likewise, she has been Executive Director of the National Program "Tu Empresa" and General Director of the General Office of Legal Counsel of the Ministry of Production, Advisor to the Executive Directorate of the Authority for Reconstruction with Changes (ARCC), among other important positions.
